How to remove nail polish from carpet

Try to pick an unnoticeable part of the carpet to avoid unsightly damage if the material reacts.

Soak a cotton ball or pad with the polish remover and gently dab the area.

Switch between dabbing the spill with the soaked cotton pad and with a clean common pad to make sure you do not soak the material too much as this may cause the stain to spread.

Repeat this until the stain has been removed, you may need to use several remover-soaked cotton pads.

Non-acetone, colourless nail polish removers tend to work best as the common blue and pink solutions can stain light coloured carpets.

If no reaction occurs then you can continue with this generally foolproof method.
